We are a boutique executive search firm with extensive experience in multilingual recruitment and cross-border placement. Unlike classic search agencies who focus principally on a candidate suitability based on business skills alone, we add value by helping companies to find candidates with the right balance of both business and language skillsets.
Our clients range from US and UK companies looking to develop business in european and global markets, to other Executive Search firms and Interim Management providers who use us to assist on "hard to find" briefs where foreign language and intercultural skills are critical to the job.
Our database is particularly strong in profiles in the high-tech sector, and in Sales and Finance. We source candidates to fill both permanent roles as well as Multilingual Interim Managers available at short notice for all types of interim and turnaround assignments.
Stirling Austin (London)
Multilingual Executives was set up by Stirling Austin, who has spent over 25 years living & working in Europe, 15 of those in France. He has extensive operational experience of greenfield business development, running manufacturing and distribution businesses in the UK, France and Germany as well as mergers and acquisitions. He has also carried out short term assignments as an Interim Manager and in Turnaround Management.
Since creating NIM France (a sister company) in 2001 he has specialised in Executive Search and Interim Management, placing Senior Executives and Directors and throughout the UK and Europe. Bilingual French/English, he has first hand experience of the different business issues facing companies working in foreign markets, and for executives working in a multicultural environment.
Pierre van den Broek (Paris)
Pierre van den Broek, after graduating as a mechanical engineer, began his career in the field of nuclear power with Framatome, working on various projects in China.
He subsequently joined the Altran group in France in 1992, and gained valuable operational experience building human resource management businesses, and developing their consulting and placement activities in France, Portugal and Brazil.
Pierre speaks French, English and Portuguese.
John Stanley
John Stanley was the president of Lexmark Europe Middle East Africa since the foundation of the company in 1991. In his 20 year career with IBM, John Stanley has worked in the UK, US, Portugal and France, spending in all over 15 years outside the UK as a full time executive.
Working in an advisory capacity on the board of Multilingual Executives, John has been a significant contributor to many assignments and is involved at Non-Executive Director and investor level with several international companies.
